The Best of Last Week

Last week was a busy one around our home, culminating with a weekend in Alabama where we hung out with my amazing in-laws, and I was privileged to speak with the women at Heritage Baptist Church about being the bride of Christ.

On Monday of last week I wrote the first post in a series about attending weddings. As the week progressed, I ended up having the opportunity to write for the blog over at Desiring God. So I combined parts 2 and 3 of that series into the post below. I pray it helps all of us worship as we attend weddings in the coming months: Preparing to Worship in Attending a Wedding

I also had the opportunity to write about wedding vows at Christianity Today's women's blog, Her.meneutics: What Happened to Wedding Vows? And if you've never visited that site, you will probably want to look around. There are some super smart, Jesus-loving women who write thought-provoking articles consistently over there.

Now, here are some of my favorite things I read on the web last week:

Excuse Me? How We've Gotten the Motivation for Purity All Wrong by Paula Hendricks

Every Week, Two Anonymous Students Sneak Into a Classroom and Proceed to Blow Everyone's Mind

I Miss the Absurdity by Tim Challies
